Featuring two layers of superbly responsive Vi-Spring nested springs; a hand-teased filling of real Shetland Isle wool, European long stranded horsetail, cashmere, alpaca, bamboo & cotton; and five rows of side-stitching that will have taken six hours to sew by hand.
Starting from the springs, upholstered on both sides with 3 oz/ft2 blended real Shetland Isle fleece wool and cotton, then 2.2 oz/ft2 hand-opened and hand-teased long-stranded Moosburger horsetail enclosed in a hair-proof cambric cover. Layered with 2 oz/ft2 blended cashmere, alpaca and bamboo blended with 2.2 oz/ft2 hand-teased real Shetland Isle fleece wool, overlaid with 3.9 oz/ft2 blended real Shetland Isle fleece wool and cotton. Covered with a sensual silk Damask for the ultimate in luxury. Hand tufted with hand tied woolen tufts and twine.
9.8" deep with five rows of genuine hand side-stitching. Eight horizontal handles on King Size and above. Air vents on all sides. Border edges upholstered with coir and wool, finished with piped ticking. Vanadium wire springs, 1.93" diameter, sewn into individual calico pockets and hand-formed into a honeycomb-nested unit.

The Statesman divan is constructed with two layers of hand nested calico pocketed springs, totaling 3384 for a King size. The springs are mounted on a solid timber frame. The divan frame is covered with insulating wadding, and the ticking case is calico lined for added protection. Base height 13.2 inches. Divan upholstery 3.9 oz/ft2 horsehair overlaid with 3.9 oz/ft2 blended British fleece wool and cotton. Covered with your choice of the finest quality ticking or upholstery fabric from our collection.
